Code of Conduct 2009


 

Players must inform Teams Manager Craig Singleton of their availability before selection on Sunday evenings, either directly by telephone or text, or by e-mailing: bostoncricketclub@googlemail.com.

 

Selection will take place at 8.00pm on Sunday evenings and all team captains, or a nominated replacement, will attend along with the Teams Manager.

 

MATCHDAYS

All players are expected to be committed members of the team, before, during and after each match. For home games, players must be aware that a number of jobs must be done:

?span style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'>         Changing rooms, garage and scorebox(s) opened and prepared.

?span style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'>         Covers and square ropes/poles removed.

?span style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'>         Boundary ropes and markers put out and sightscreens moved in line.

?span style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'>         Match fees collected, along with any availability information.

?span style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'>         Opposition and umpires greeted and umpires paid appropriate match fees.

?span style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'>         Everything put back in place after the close of play, including any furniture from clubhouse.

?span style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'>         After completion, all team members to congregate in clubhouse to ‘socialise? accordingly.

 

TRAINING

Nets for First and Second XI players will be held on Wednesdays at 6.00pm and will include warm-up, fielding drills, fitness drills and batting and bowling practice. Experienced members will take responsibility for planning all or part of each session.

 

Third XI training will take place on Thursdays, starting at 6.00pm and will be run along similar lines, with selected junior players invited to attend.
